Get it for way less - SS08 Lanvin Dress

Nothing can compare to a real Lanvin, but many of us would have to pawn our families and other possessions to get our hands on one of those beautiful, billowy dresses from their Spring/ Summer 2008 collection.

Bebe, who seems to be to clothing what Steve Madden and Bakers are to shoes, has a very similar, less expensive version available online.

It has the same features as the original Lanvin; strapless neckline, pleated, billowy body, bright colour and a ruffled, asymmetrical hem. The only difference in design is the fact that the Bebe dress is belted beneath the bodice.

the Bebe dress is really great, maybe even more wearable than the Lanvin one, and much much more affordable!

That Lanvin dress is gorgeous. The Bebe is certainly a great alternative!

Sure, let's trade links.

*barf* I agree that Bebe are doing what SM and Bakers are doing and thats 'bastardizing quality fashion'. I don't have a problem with a knock off, but comeon this like an 80's prom dress gone wrong. Bebe, SM and Bakers (and the rest of you) hang your heads in shame and this is neither desirable or wearable!

I appreciate your honest opinion Imelda but really don't believe it's as bad as you think. As I stated in the post, it can't compare to the original but that aside, I do think it's a rather pretty dress. Everyone has their own tastes and I'm sure there are stylish people out there who would wear it.

Ahh, I just wish there was a bit more volume, but for a cheaper alternative I think this is a fab spot!

Danz! I have tagged you!! Check out my blog for the rules xx

I do like that knockoff, I daresay. It's a great look with or without the belt. Lots of versatility in that one. The color is brilliant!
