Random Thoughts - Sasha Face
I love Sasha Pivovarova and all the interesting facial expressions she makes on the runway.
EDIT: Speaking of Sasha, some of you may know that she is also an artist. She was recently enlisted by Chanel to create an illustration for a show in Moscow (below).
The Russian model says that she was "inspired by the joy of seeing fairytale characters coming to life in one of the main theaters of Moscow, the city where I was born."
I've seen some of Sasha's work before and I quite like it. However, all her subjects seem to bear an uncanny resemblance to herself and it makes me wonder if this is a drawing style she purposely developed or if the extent of her drawing ability is self-portraits.
What do you think of Sasha's illustration for Chanel?

She really is so unbelievably versatile!
I love how her face works. At first glance it wouldn't seem so well-ranged, but once she actually puts the charm on, she really works the camera in many ways.

I guess I should stop worrying about my peculiar facial expressions in photos!
I had no idea she was an artist until I heard she was creating something for the Chanel show in Moscow, but I like how imp-ish her characters are. They truly do resemble her a bit, but I love Sasha, so I can't complain.
she is so gorgeous...I love that she is talented too!!!
Sasha is a great look girl but some of her expressions transform her look dramatically.
i love sasha pivovarova too! ((: she has incredible talents not only as a model but also an artist. such an inspiration!
Well, it truly takes a one of a kind girl to make it so big as she has. And I truly believe that her knowledge about art and her fascination has inspired her many times on the several editorials she has had.
Hey nice blog check out mines neeshbfly.blogspot.com and if you like it follow me..
I love it! I remember reading in Vogue (I think?) way back that she was an artist and always carried her sketchbook with her and I thought it was cute... but I had no idea she was so accomplished! Doesn't hurt that she is adorable too! :)
